Infection Control and Prevention is a very important issue for long term care facilities. In response to the potential for outbreaks of communicable diseases and antibiotic resistant organisms in long term care facilities, VHCA and VCAL, in collaboration with the Virginia Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC-Virginia), is fielding an all-star team to bring providers a one-day symposium designed specifically to provide long term care professionals with updated information on infection prevention and control. Stepping Up to the Plate - Infection Prevention and Control program will feature important prevention and control topics that health care personnel deal with on a daily basis.  The seminar will be held at the Holiday Inn - Select in Richmond on December 10, 2007.  More information and on-line registration is available.
