OLC Revises Virginia's IDR Procedure

The Office of Licensure and Certification (OLC) has revised Virginia’s Informal Dispute Resolution (IDR) procedure effective January 2008.

Revisions emphasize and address the following:

• that the IDR procedure is a form of mediation (rather than an evidentiary hearing),
• changes the mailing address for the IDR requests, 
• tightens the stated expectation that the provider must submit all 'additional' information by the 10th calendar day after filing their IDR request, and 
• establishes a timeline for the survey team and/or supervisor to provide information in response to the provider's additional information.
