Mark your calendars now to attend the VHCA’s Winter Legislative Conference on February 19th and 20th at the Omni Richmond Hotel.  Make your hotel reservations online today. The two-day conference will feature information on state and national policy issues.  This is your chance to learn about state budget proposals, legislative initiatives, provider malpractice liability and emergency planning for long term care.  A special session on the VHCA’s Survey Project will howcase an exciting new member resource and reveal deficiency trends and patterns and reasons surveyors are citing them.  A live demonstration will show project participants how to access “real time” information on survey outcomes throughout the state.  Time has been set aside again this year at the Conference on Tuesday morning beginning at 10:30 a.m. to visit legislators.  Contact your legislators today to schedule appointments to have your voice heard on long term care concerns.
