VHCA continues to support Long Term Care Directors of Nursing across the state as part of our Quality First activities and our ongoing commitment to Advancing Excellence.  In her article entitled, DONs Build Teams Even in Challenging Times, in the December 2007 American Medical Director’s newsletter, Caring for the Ages, organizational development consultant Diane Dixon explores requirements for success in the DON role.  Several VHCA member DONs were interviewed for this article, in which Dr. Dixon also referenced the VHCA DON study from 2005.
