CMS Issues MDS 3.0 Final Draft

On January 15th the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the final draft version of the MDS 3.0. The MDS 3.0 and implementation timeline will be discussed at the MDS 3.0 Special Open Door Forum scheduled for Thursday, January 24, 2008 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm EST. Registration is required to participate in this Special Open Door Forum. To accommodate the demand for additional participants, the number of phone lines has been expanded to allow up to 1,700 participants. CMS plans to post the audio portion of the Open Door on the CMS MDS 3.0 website by January 30, 2008 where it will be available for 30 days. AHCA is attending the forum and will publish the key updates and issues discussed at the meeting. If you have not yet had the opportunity to register, please register today.
