2008 VHCA Winter Legislative Conference is a Month Away!

Plan to attend the VHCA Winter Legislative Conference on February 19th & 20th at the Omni Richmond Hotel.  Whether you are interested in learning more about what is on the legislative agenda for the 2008 General Assembly and in Washington or visiting the Capitol to meet face-to-face with your elected representatives, the 2008 Winter Legislative Conference has something for everyone. You can also earn up to nine hours of NAB education. Your involvement in the legislative process and knowledge of the pending issues are critical to promote the quality of long term care for residents!

This year we are asking our member facilities to create several short “storybooks” briefly describing the history and personal story of residents in long term care.  These storybooks will enable providers, along with VHCA to inform and educate our legislators about long term care and the role that Medicaid plays in the delivery of nursing home care. 

The Hotel reservation deadline is Monday, February 4, 2008.  Reserve your hotel room today. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Omni Richmond Hotel for $128.00 single or double (plus tax).
