
Train the Trainer for Registered Medication Aides Scheduled in February

A one-day, 6-hour workshop has been scheduled and is designed to provide instructors of Registered Medication Aide Programs with program planning skills including an understanding of the regulatory requirements for Medication Aides in assisted living facilities, writing measurable learning objectives, organizing mandated curriculum, developing lesson plans, and evaluating learning of students. Participants will have an opportunity to observe, practice, and critique a variety of instructional strategies. The program is scheduled for Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the VHCA Office in Richmond. VCAL members have been requested to assist CEAL (the Center for Excellence in Assisted Living) and Assisted Living Consult by participating in a survey related to Medication Management in Assisted Living. Please take a few minutes to complete the online survey by January 21, 2008. The survey is being conducted in all states and results will be shared with our members once they are available.
