Part B Fee Schedule Available

The 2008 therapy fees for each CPT/HCPCS Code in each geographic area are now available via spreadsheet download from the AHCA website.

The information includes:

The 2008 Medicare Part B Fee Schedule (Part B Fees) for Outpatient Rehabilitation for each Carrier and Locality.

• The 2008 Relative Value Units (RVUs) for each Outpatient Rehabilitation Therapy Code.
• The 2008 Geographic Practice Cost Indices (GPCI) by Medicare Carrier and Locality. 
• The final Part B Fee Schedule amount calculation is provided and yields a Conversion Factor of $38.9676.

The fees reflect all changes included in the 2008 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule published in the Federal Register on November 27, 2007 with modifications based upon the Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007 signed by the President on December 29, 2007. 

As a result of the Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007, effective for claims with dates of service January 1, 2008 through June 30, 2008, the update to the conversion factor will be 0.5% ($38.9676); and for claims with dates of service July 1, 2008 and after, will revert back to the previous payment methodology (the -10.1% update) that was outlined in the Final Rule.
