Revisit User Fee Is Really, Really Over

American Health Care Association has received confirmation from the Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) that the Revisit User Fee ceased to exist as of December 26, 2007. If a revisit occurred between September 19, 2007 and December 25, 2007, a fee will be charged. It is important to keep in mind that there may be a lag between the date of the revisit and when the state inputs the information into the CMS data system that will ultimately create the bill for the revisit - but the date of the revisit must have occurred between September 19 and December 25, 2007, in order for a fee to be assessed.
