We don’t want you to get left behind.  Sign up for VHCA’s exciting new members only resource – the Survey Management Analysis and Resource Tool (SMART).  In 2007, your association embarked on an endeavor to better understand and document survey experiences of Virginia nursing facilities.  Now in 2008 we have a powerful new tool to share with our members.  This tool allows members to monitor, analyze and benchmark survey-related information on a near real-time basis. 

SMART is easy to use and is web-based so there is no software to install – users can access the application from work, home or on the road.  Your VHCA membership provides you with no-cost access to SMART! 

Like all good things, there is one small catch.  In order to access SMART, your facility must participate by submitting 2567 Deficiency Reports from surveys conducted by the Virginia Department of Health and complete a brief questionnaire about each specific survey conducted.  We ask that you start with the most recent survey reports and work backward chronologically to 2005 with other survey reports in your files.

It’s easy to get started with SMART!  Simply click here and complete the online request to have your SMART account access established. 

For VHCA members who have submitted survey information, online access will be set-up and instructions will be sent back to the individual who made the request within two working days.  Once a member is assigned his own unique user login and password, a simple click on the SMART icon located on the VHCA website will link you to the login page.
