DDNR Fact Sheet Updated
VHCA (3/28/2008)
The Office of Emergency Management Services has revised the Durable Do Not Resuscitate Fact Sheet (DDNR), in response to requests for clarification because of inconsistency in understanding requirements among EMS providers across the state. The updated Fact Sheet is an effort by the Office of Emergency Services to address those concerns. In addition, VHCA and the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association convened a meeting with state officials and other stakeholders to discuss the need for revisions to the DDNR regulations. As a consequence of those discussions, regulations are in the process of being revised. A Notice of Intended Regulatory Action was published in the Virginia Register on February 4, 2008. The updated Fact Sheet, information on the Virginia DDNR program and additional resources are available on the Office of EMS website. This website includes: - DDNR Fact Sheet
