Medicaid Ceilings and Rate Update

Senior Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) staff have indicated that updated cost ceilings effective July 1, 2008 will be published on the Department’s website early next week.  These ceilings will reflect the rebase calculations using FY 2005 facility operating costs.  DMAS is also working to develop and distribute updated facility-specific interim rates reflecting both the new rebased ceilings as well as the most recent Global Insight nursing facility inflator and the funding cut contained within the Commonwealth’s 2009 Budget.  The interim rates are expected to be finalized by May 31st and will be communicated through GoFileRoom.
