"Psychological First Aid Field Operations Guide" Now Available

The American Health Care Association (AHCA) has partnered with other organizations to develop a new fields operation manual Psychological First Aid Field Operations Guide for Nursing Homes.  The manual is a supportive intervention designed to reduce the initial distress caused by traumatic events and help in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. This field operations guide is tailored to address the specific emotional needs and concerns of nursing facility patients. The guide is suitable for nurses, certified nurse aides, social workers and other direct care staff.
