Revised F325 & F371 Tags for Nutrition & Sanitation Program Scheduled for October
VHCA (9/4/2008)
Don’t let your facility get caught in the danger zone! Plan to attend the October 14th program at the Holiday Inn - Select in Richmond and get informed of the revised F Tags for Nutrition and Sanitation. The key to survey success is education, training, and monitoring for all staff and volunteers involved. The program will feature Susanne Thomas, Clinical Projects Manager with the Office of Licensure and Certification (OLC), who will present the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) training on the new guidance and Donna Manring, a national health care consultant with Maun-Lemke, LLC, whose focus will be on reducing weight loss, nutritional parameters for residents and ensuring safe, sanitary conditions in your facility. The session will also describe how to improve survey results based on deficiencies analyzed from VHCA’s SMART project, including the specific reasons why deficiencies were cited at F325 and F371 in Virginia in the past year and how to use that data to improve quality performance. More information and on-line registration available on the VHCA website.
