VCAL COMMITTEE SETS ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM PLANS

At its March 4, 2003 meeting, the VCAL Committee, chaired by Bob DeMaria, initiated plans for the 2003 Assisted Living Symposium.  This year the event will be held on June 18th at the Sheraton Park South Hotel in Richmond.  Among the topics to be covered will be a business and legal approach to HIPAA implementation for ALFs, an update on the Assisted Living Workgroups hearing and recommendations to the Senate Special Committee on Aging, and improving assessment skills.  Mark your calendars now and plan to attend to learn and network with other ALF providers from across the state.
