NEW LTC STAFF ORGANIZATION TO DEVELOP PROFESSIONS LEADERS

Citing a critical shortage of leadership and management prepared to handle the increasingly complex delivery of senior services, Dwayne J. Clark, president of Redmond, Washington-based egis Assisted Living, and David Peete, President of Assisted Living University, announced the formation of AIM:  The Society of Senior Living Professionals.  Clark and Peete along with AIMs board of industry executives seek to merge the techniques of leading-edge firms such as Disney and Nordstrom with the best practices of senior living into programs and services.  According to Clarke, this approach will enable AIM to foster the growth of industry professionals by identifying and embracing best leadership, management, and operations practices applicable to the senior living spectrum.  Clark will serve as AIMs chairman; Peete will serve as the organizations President.

AIM will accept founding members in early fall and subsequently offer membership programs for all individuals employed within the senior living profession.  The organization will offer opportunities for professional managers, supervisory staff, caregivers, and advocates to enhance their professional knowledge through online continuing education and degree programs and training provided by Assisted Living University.  For more information, call 800.258.7030 or go to www.aimsociety.org.
