
FIRST ASSISTED LIVING QUALITY SUMMIT

The Center for Excellence in Assisted Living (CEAL) will host the 2004 Assisted Living Quality Summit: Achieving Excellence December 2-3 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC. This landmark summit brings together consumers, providers, professionals, researchers, regulators and policymakers to learn and exchange information on quality issues in assisted living and explore the professions latest developments. Opening with a candid discussion about what quality means to participants, the event also offers seven plenary sessions conducted by leading assisted living and geriatric care professionals from across the country. The topics to be covered include State Quality Initiatives, How to Measure Quality and What to Do With It, Provider Initiatives to Improve Outcomes, Embracing Culture Change, and Pressing Issues: Dementia Care in Assisted Living. The summit will close with a discussion of future initiatives and priorities that will be derived from the results of a survey completed by participants.
