VCAL ADMINISTRATOR OF THE YEAR

Delain N. Dillow, Administrator of the Seasons at The Woodview in South Boston, Virginia, was honored on September 21st as the 2005 Assisted Living Administrator of the Year at the VHCA/VCAL Annual Convention.  The award, presented this year by Vernon Baker, the 2004 VCAL Administrator of the Year, is awarded annually to an administrator who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and contributed significantly to long term care.  Delain, a dedicated supporter of VHCA/VCAL, was recognized for her leadership and commitment to providing high quality care and quality of life for residents and their families.  In nominating her for the award, her colleague noted that, through her leadership, she and her staff see no boundaries in what they can do to enhance each residents life.  Delains leadership style, the genuine concern she exhibits for the staff as well as for the residents and families, and her dedication to the mission, vision and values of Seasons have earned her the respect of all.  Community service is an important focus for Delain, personified by her active participation in civic organizations including the Chamber of Commerce, the Halifax County Womans Club, and the Alzheimers Association

Delain Dillow is the latest in a long list of professionals recognized as Administrator of the Year exemplifying the high standards set forth for the assisted living profession.  This is the 18th year that an assisted living administrator has been honored by the Association.
