NCAL ADVISES TEXAS A&M PROJECT TO INCREASE RESIDENTS USE OF OUTDOOR SPACE
VCAL (12/9/05)
NCAL has been assisting Texas A&M Universitys department of architecture in evaluating educational material designed to help long term care facilities increase residents use of outdoor space. NCAL staff and board members recently provided feedback to the researchers after reviewing a CD developed by Texas A&M. The CD presented innovative ways to design outdoor gardens. The researchers are hoping that increased use of outdoor space, such as gardens, will increase assisted living residents sense of well being and deliver therapeutic benefits.
